4 of our projects nominated for the LABC South West Building Excellence Awards 2016

We are very pleased to announce that 4 of our architectural projects have been nominated for the prestigious LABC South West Building Excellence Awards for 2016.  This is something we are very proud of and strive to attain in each and every project we undertake, and can only hope our hard work and attention to detail has paid off.  We have been able to inject personality and character into all of these entries, making them really special and unique builds we are fortunate enough to have been a part of.

Our 4 projects that have been nominated are as follows:

1. Corbyn Sands, Parkhill Road, Torquay – Best Small New Housing Development

The Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards celebrate all that’s good in the construction industry. The awards aren’t about aesthetics, instead they are looking for vital elements in the creation of excellent buildings: outstanding craftsmanship, technical innovation, sustainability and high performance. They also require that companies demonstrate an excellent working relationship between LABC surveyors and the people responsible for the building work.

Their criteria is not restricted by project size either. Projects can include: residential extensions and conversions, new homes, schools and education, retail and commercial, health and care, industrial, high rise or notable public buildings and stadia.

The LABC network covers every local authority in England & Wales. So clients can enter locally perhaps with an award at local or county level. The best local or county level awardees are then nominated for their LABC regional awards and regional winners are automatically shortlisted for the LABC Grand Finals which are held in London in the autumn – so watch this space.
